GOAT HALL PRODUCTIONS presents its first show in Solano County:
The WEST COAST PREMIERE OF AGING GRACE or I Feel Like a Summer Sunshine Trapped in an Autumn Rain
Music and words by Dikkie Schoggen
– A full-length, jazzy, witty musical celebrating the young at heart (growing old gracefully)!
May 21 -29 at the Missouri Street Theatre in Fairfield, CA.
Goat Hall Productions aka San Francisco Cabaret Opera has been a nonprofit San Francisco- based company since 1997, producing and performing mostly new works by Bay Area composers and writers. However, the board and participants of GHP have resided in Solano and Contra Costa Counties for more than 15 years, and so at long last we are pulling up stakes and pledging our commitment to our local communities. We hope our unique brand of intimate cabaret opera and musical theatre will find favor with local audiences. This year, in addition to Aging Grace in Fairfield, we are producing our 16th Fresh Voices Festival of New Works in August at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek Aging Grace OR I Feel Like a Summer Sunshine Trapped in an Autumn Rain is an original musical that takes place in a small-town bus station with buses going to fanciful imaginary destinations like “Overnexthill,” ‘Roundthebend,” and “Beyondbluehorizon.” There is also a romantic triangle of two women and one man (all over 60) who thought their “falling in love” days were long past. Not so fast! The music covers many styles, from blues, tango, and waltz, to Broadway and beyond! Lots of foot-tapping, even some singalong songs, and clever lyrics.
Perfect for the whole family, ages 5 to 90 and above!
